BMWNA and MINI USA making personnel changes in marketing
BMW of North America and MINI USA are announcing some personnel changes in their marketing departments. Tom Salkowsky, 40, currently manager of corporate communications for BMW, will become managing director of MINI marketing on Dec. 1, replacing Trudy Hardy, 41, who becomes manager of BMW marketing communications.
At his turn, Hardy replaces Patrick McKenna, 41, who volition head MINI's product strategy and motor experiences department.
Salkowsky will head the MINI marketing department for the Usa. As he mentioned in a recent conversation with BMWBLOG, Salkowsky has 14 years experience at BMW of North America in diverse positions throughout the organization.
His first part at BMW was defined as Retail Operations Manager; three years after he became the Yard Make & Motorsports Manager. In the terminal two years, Salkowski was named Manager in the BMW Corporate Communications department.
In her new role, Trudy Hardy will be responsible for BMW'due south national, event and directly marketing as well as Internet, consumer communications and conquest and loyalty activities.
Hardy joined BMW in 2001 as communications director for the MINI brand. She was appointed BMW's aftersales marketing communications manager in 2003 and returned to MINI as director of marketing in 2005.
McKenna joined BMW in 1997 every bit media communications manager. He became the manager of consumer communications in 2000. He was promoted in 2004 to manager of marketing communications and added consumer events to his responsibilities in 2007.
